Building Maintenance Responsible to execute all the necessary building maintenance practices in order to maintain the building and ground property under efficient, safe and useable conditions.

DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position. Must be able to communicate effectively and read Architectural blueprints, use simple mathematics and possess knowledge of company, local, state, and federal building codes. Must be able to make proper installations of simple electrical lighting circuits from wiring diagrams and repair the ones existents. Must be able to maintain, check and correct all types of building problems and aesthetics. Must be able to disassemble, repair and reassemble door lock handless, as well as panic handles and all related painting jobs when directed or when directly related to building and ground maintenance. Must possess working knowledge of concrete/wood building as well as plumbing systems and be able to read building and plumbing diagrams and troubleshoot these systems. Must be able to work in teams with all other maintenance and production employees to do work repairs. Must use safe working practices and report all hazardous conditions and acts at all times. Must be able to do any required tests, complete "ALL" reports as required for company record keeping. Must possess the necessary basic personal hand tools of the trade. Must be concerned with their assigned tools and equipment, taking care of its good working conditions. Must be able to operate mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of his/her work. Must be able to clean and paint as directed. Must be able to assist the completed work order objectives and correlate the written status report. Become familiar and ensure compliance with Yum! Brands quality standards and KPIs. Repair damages (Walls, floors, doors, building fixture and ceilings, etc.) Prepare and paint walls and ceilings. Completes building electrical work (i.e., new outlets, lights, minor repairs). Unclog toilets and urinals; replace toilet and urinal components. Repair doors and windows as required. Makes improvement to building by making minor repairs and remodeling (i.e., painting, laying tile, etc.) Repair plumbing leaks of all types (air, gas, water, etc.) / Makes repairs to restrooms, water fountain, and other necessary utilities for the building. May perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping. May perform routine laboring and maintenance duties when grounds keeping work has been completed. Follow (LO/TO) all Safety procedures and Company Safety Policy. Complete tasks indicated on work orders, inspections and A.I.B. checklists as directed by supervisor. Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned. Assists in the training of new personnel. Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard. Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements. Participates in monthly departmental meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Freon handling certificate Successful completion continuing education toward licenser/certification in HVAC trade preferred but not required Familiar with GMP's and AIB standards. Good Communication Skills Able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. Forklift Operator License Must be able to operate mobile lift truck Bilingual English / Spanish Preferred - Ability to read and speak Typical work schedule : Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm, must be open to work overtime when needed and be flexible for Variable Shift if needed. Schedule may vary based on production needs.

EDUCATION& EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience with Building and Grounds Maintenance. 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance preferred but not required.

Starting Hourly Pay:
