JOB SUMMARY
: This team member is responsible for carrying out projects including installing items, construction, and repair as well as performing necessary routine and basic maintenance work at the Hotel
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive: Performs a wide variety of general building, construction, and maintenance repairs and services, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting Uses various hand tools, such as hammers, pliers, saws, chisels, and screwdrivers Uses various power tools, such as drills, skill-saws, jigsaws, and reciprocating saws Has a good working knowledge of safety requirements as it relates to OSHA requirements and the proper use of tools when performing work Maintains the maintenance (shop) area to avoid hazards and accidents Performs pool and spa maintenance Performs preventative maintenance of guest rooms and equipment Performs general building maintenance and repairs to include, but not limited to, unclogging drains, low voltage cabling, basic plumbing, remove and replacing of sinks, faucets, and toilets, furniture repairs, minor patching and painting, lighting upkeep, HVAC coil cleaning, HVAC filter change outs, minor acoustical ceiling repairs, etc. Performs Roof, gutter, and storm drain maintenance Maintains parking lots, including snow removal, painting, blowing, vacuuming and minor patching of damaged areas Drives the Hotel shuttle Set up & breakdown meeting/banquet rooms Answers calls from guests and other team members when maintenance issues occur Interacts with guests in a courteous and professional manner. Greets each guest with the appropriate salutation Uses chemicals, supplies, and equipment in accordance with manufacturers safety requirements, Safety Data Sheets, and organizational SOPs Ensures that all safety regulations are followed Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager, Assistant General Manager, and/or General Manager
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position; however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process: Must be 21 years of age or older The ability to operate all required vehicles and equipment, and to use a variety of hand tools is required A thorough knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and all other facets of building trades and grounds maintenance is required The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short conversations, and memos The ability to write simple correspondence The ability to perform these operations using units of money, weight, measurement, volume, and distance The ability to calculate figures using a measuring tape The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Knowledge of janitorial and housekeeping skills preferred A strong understanding of the Safety and Data Sheet (SDS) handbook is required The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Must have a current California Driver's License, current insurance, and a clear driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Continuously walks Frequently stands, bends/stoops, climbs, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats Occasionally sits, drives, and crawls Continuously lifts/carries up to ten (10) pounds is required Frequently lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required Occasionally lifts/carries over one hundred (100) pounds is required Continuously pushes/pulls up to ten (10) pounds is required Frequently pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required Occasionally pushes/pulls over one hundred (100) pounds is required
