Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and energetic Dayporter/Handyman to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. This vital role involves performing janitorial duties, basic maintenance, and custodial tasks to ensure a welcoming and well-maintained environment for staff, visitors, and clients. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning routines including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agent Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, or painting walls as needed Operate cleaning machinery including, vacuums, and industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Follow safety protocols for chemical handling and manual lifting to prevent accidents or injuries during all custodial activities Assist with facilities upkeep by performing heavy lifting tasks and ensuring safety procedures are adhered to during all maintenance work Support general porter duties such as moving furniture or supplies, maintaining cleanliness in common areas, and responding promptly to facility needs Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical agents used in sanitation processes is highly desirable Experience with basic maintenance tasks including minor repairs or residential painting is a plus Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling safety protocols and safe lifting practices is essential Customer service skills are valuable for interacting professionally with staff or visitors when needed Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles will support success in this position Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment!
