Woodworking Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Handyman will be responsible for general maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the business property to ensure the facilities and equipment in the building are in good working order at all times. The Handyman is responsible for performing routine building maintenance task, must have relevant building maintenance skills including, plumbing, electrical, as well as minor plaster and painting.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Report and Identify the need for major repairs to the Program Director in a timely manner. Perform maintenance and light repairs Inspects all areas of the property that may pose safety concerns. Inform the Program Director of any projects that temporarily affect mobility, access, or safety. Maintain and secure safe environment at all times especially when working with hazardous materials, chemicals, or electricals to ensure the safety of the employees, clients and visitors. Perform routine landscaping duties on the grounds such as but not limited to mowing the lawn, trimming trees and other shrubbery, fertilizing and watering as needed. Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.) Perform routine electrical repairs such as but not limited to changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps, and light fixtures. Perform light carpentry such as assembling and installing cabinets, moving furniture and appliances. Repair equipment or appliances. Perform routine plumbing repairs such as but not limited to toilet issues, sinks, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and broken water sprinklers. Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs when needed. Execute duties as assigned or emergency tasks. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the business premises by sweeping, dusting etc. Treat clients with respect. Other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as handyman
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- Background Clearance with a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance.
- Current driver license, clean driving record and reliable transportation and clearance from the Agency's insurance company to drive a company vehicle.

Will perform work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions Moderate/loud noise levelPhysical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, use hands, reach with arms and hands overhead. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans. Work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside and outside the buildings to access equipment needed.Job Type:
