In this role, you will assist experienced fence installers in constructing, installing, and repairing various types of fences, including wood, vinyl, chain-link, and ornamental styles. If picking up every last scrap before you pull out isn't already how you work, this isn't the crew for you. Duties Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment and materials. Handle building materials such as posts, panels, rails, and hardware with care and efficiency. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and install fencing components according to specifications. Participate in heavy lifting tasks to move materials and equipment around the job site safely. Support the installation of fence posts, panels, gates, and other components following safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency throughout each project. Follow instructions from lead installers to ensure fences are built according to construction plans and technical drawings. Adhere strictly to safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of power tools. Qualifications Previous experience in construction or outdoor labor roles is preferred; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of carpentry or frame carpentry techniques is advantageous. Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, drills, and measuring devices; familiarity with power tools is a plus. Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and power tool operation; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Experience with building material handling including loading/unloading supplies efficiently on-site. Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements This position requires the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Continuously :
Bending/squatting, reaching above shoulders, kneeling, stooping, operating basic and specialized machinery, exposure to outdoor elements and hot temperatures, exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.
Frequently :
Climbing ladders/step stools, walking on uneven ground, working around moving machinery, lifting/carrying 0-10 lbs, 11-20 lbs, 21-50 lbs, and 51-100 lbs.
Occasionally :
Climbing stairs/steps, driving automotive equipment, exposure to dust, fumes and gases. Pay:
