DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a safety champion and promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures Troubleshoot, maintain, and physically repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing) Diagnose, using test equipment, electrical, and electronic control systems, and other related equipment, devices, or components Safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment to perform system support tasks as required. Working knowledge of a work order system Maintain a positive working relationship across WSI operations facility, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior operations leaders Mentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance, and leading training plans to help them achieve their goals Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours Must be able to work and withstand heights up to 30ft on a frequent basis Overtime may be required with little to no advanced notice This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position; They are only the major duties
REQUIRED
Education, Skills, and Experience:
At least 5+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance. Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills An Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field is highly desired Advanced knowledge of the operation and repair of material handling equipment Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, and hydraulics, and how to use them all General welding certification Excellent written and verbal communications skills Excellent problem solving skills Forklift certified or able to obtain certification Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
