Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Tankless Water Heater Technician / Installer to join our team. Our company specializes in tankless water heater installation, service, repair, maintenance, and replacement . We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is mechanically skilled, communicates well with customers, and can properly diagnose and complete jobs without cutting corners. This is an excellent opportunity for a plumbing or HVAC technician who wants to specialize in tankless water heaters and become highly skilled in a growing area of the industry. Responsibilities Install residential tankless water heaters Diagnose and repair tankless water heater problems Perform routine maintenance and descaling services Troubleshoot gas, water, venting, electrical, ignition, combustion, and recirculation issues Remove and replace existing tank and tankless water heaters Install and modify water, gas, condensate, and vent piping as required Install PVC, polypropylene, and other approved venting systems Install and troubleshoot recirculation systems and pumps Properly commission and test newly installed equipment Identify installation or code-related problems and recommend appropriate corrections Maintain a clean and professional work area Protect customers' homes and property while performing work Clearly explain repairs, recommendations, and completed work to customers Complete service documentation, photographs, and job notes Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle Preferred Experience Experience with tankless water heater brands such as: Navien Noritz Rinnai Rheem Takagi Previous experience with plumbing, HVAC, water heaters, gas piping, venting, electrical troubleshooting, or appliance repair is highly desirable. Tankless-specific experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider an experienced plumbing or HVAC technician who has strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities and wants to specialize in tankless systems. Qualifications Plumbing, HVAC, water heater, or related mechanical experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working with gas-fired appliances Ability to use electrical meters and basic diagnostic equipment Knowledge of common plumbing tools and installation practices Ability to work independently and make good decisions in the field Professional appearance and communication skills Strong attention to detail Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable and punctual Able to lift and maneuver water heaters, tools, ladders, and equipment Comfortable working in garages, attics, crawlspaces, exterior locations, and other typical installation environments What We're Looking For We are looking for more than someone who can simply install a water heater. The right technician should be someone who: Takes pride in doing clean, professional work Understands the importance of diagnosing the actual problem instead of simply replacing parts Treats customers and their homes with respect Shows up on time and communicates professionally Keeps their truck and work area organized Is willing to learn and continue improving their technical skills Can eventually handle service calls and installations independently Wants a long-term position with a company specializing in tankless water heaters Compensation Competitive hourly or performance-based compensation depending on experience.
Bonuses Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
