JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sign Production / Graphic Designer to independently manage the full sign production process, from design and printing to finishing and preparation for installation. This role is responsible for producing high-quality signage efficiently and accurately while meeting customer timelines and proof specifications. The ideal candidate understands print materials, production workflows, and basic installation requirements, and takes pride in minimizing waste, reducing errors, and maintaining an organized production environment. This position works closely with design, installation, and operations teams and is expected to assist other departments as needed to ensure overall company success.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently complete the full sign production process from approved proof to finished product. Prepare print-ready files and operate printers, plotters, laminators, and finishing equipment. Ensure all projects are produced to proof specifications with a high level of accuracy and quality control. Manage production timelines to ensure customer deadlines and installation schedules are met. Select and use materials efficiently to minimize waste and control costs. Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning production equipment. Organize and stage completed materials clearly and accurately for the installation team. Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs proactively. Perform basic installation prep and possess general knowledge of sign installation best practices. Assist other departments when needed to support workflow and team success. Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, accuracy, and organization.

OUTCOMES OF POSITION

Materials are used efficiently with minimal waste. Minimal production errors and reprints. Projects are completed accurately and on time. Production materials are organized and properly prepared for installation. Equipment is clean, maintained, and operating properly. Production department runs smoothly with clear organization and workflow. Signs and graphics consistently meet proof specifications and quality standards. Strong collaboration and support across departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (required). Experience in sign production, print production, or visual communications (required). Strong understanding of print materials, substrates, and finishing techniques. Basic knowledge of sign installation methods and requirements. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to learn quickly, follow established processes, and adapt to new procedures. Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
