Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe and efficient operation of a fast-paced steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes, forklifts, industrial machinery, and mechanical/electrical equipment . This position requires someone who can quickly diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, minimize downtime, and confidently read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain overhead cranes and crane equipment . Diagnose and repair forklifts and material-handling equipment . Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Repair and replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, brakes, switches, sensors, and other mechanical components. Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and basic machining as needed. Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential mechanical or safety concerns. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements. Work closely with production personnel and other maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues. Qualifications 3+ years of industrial maintenance or Maintenance Mechanic experience preferred. Experience repairing and maintaining overhead cranes is highly preferred . Experience troubleshooting and repairing forklifts and material-handling equipment . Strong ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics . Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Ability to safely work around heavy industrial machinery and equipment. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a maintenance team. Must be able to lift, climb, bend, kneel, and perform physical work around industrial equipment.
