Glassfab delivers crafted architectural glass and metal products to local custom shower door companies, glass shops and architectural glazing contractors. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help shape our rapidly growing future. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and be committed to maximizing equipment uptime, product quality, and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and production machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Maintain and service equipment including:
Glass tempering furnaces Insulated glass production lines Glass cutting tables Edge grinders and polishers Washers and drying systems Automated material handling equipment Compressors, pumps, conveyors, and facility systems Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes. Install, modify, and improve machinery and production equipment. Perform routine inspections and document maintenance activities. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Collaborate with production personnel to identify opportunities for equipment improvements and process optimization. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain an organized maintenance shop and spare parts inventory. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and reliability programs. Qualifications Required 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience in glass manufacturing or related industrial processes. Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems. Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, sensors, and controls. Welding and fabrication experience. Industrial electrical experience. Maintenance certifications or technical training.
