Maintenance Technician/Mechanic

Job Description

Minimum required: electrical certification
Shift:
start time vary from 4:00AM - 12:00PM but it will be a permanent schedule. 5-7 years of experience in the electrical field. Applicants do not have to master any trade, but they need to have at least basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, welding and fabricating. A in industrial maintenance. All candidates are required to bring their own basic hand tool (wrench, screwdriver, etc) power tools will be provided by us. Below are the basic requirements we're looking for: Advanced electrical troubleshooting ability. Understands ladder logic, able to interpret electrical drawings and use them to troubleshoot a machine controlled by PLC. Able to troubleshoot and replace 480V, 3-phase motors and drives (VFD). Familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC) Hydraulic and pneumatic experience. Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics. Advanced mechanical abilities. Equipment troubleshooting, rebuilding, modifications, assembly and commissioning - this is 75% of the job. Welding/fabrication. Must be comfortable with MIG and stick welding as well as using plasma cutters and Oxy/Acc torch. Must be willing to work in a very dusty environment. Willing to work any shift and most weekends.
Below would be a plus:
Able to log on a PLC and make minor changes to timers etc. Familiar with Allen-Bradley PLC and VFD Machine shop experience - manual lathe, milling machine etc. Panel building experience. Able to run EMT conduit and pull wires. Pipe fitting and welding. Able to interpret European (German) electrical drawings. Boiler room operations. Leadership/supervisory experience. Certification in any trade.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
