We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Sign Maker to join our production team in Vacaville. This hands-on position produces signs, vehicle graphics, embroidered apparel, decals, and other custom-printed products. We are especially interested in candidates with experience operating professional embroidery machines, installing vehicle wraps or automotive vinyl, and performing general sign fabrication. Experience with Flexi, ONYX, Adobe Illustrator, or other vector-based graphics and production software is a plus. This is a good opportunity for someone who takes pride in precise workmanship, works efficiently, and can manage assigned projects independently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Cut, shape, print, laminate, and assemble vinyl, metal, acrylic, wood, plastic, and other materials. Operate wide-format printers, vinyl plotters, professional embroidery machines, heat presses, laminators, CNC routers, and laser cutters. Weed vinyl and apply decals and graphics to signs, vehicles, equipment, and other surfaces. Prepare vehicle and sign surfaces for vinyl application. Position, stretch, tuck, trim, and finish vinyl around edges, contours, seams, and hardware. Use heat appropriately to conform vinyl and set the material's memory. Set up and monitor commercial embroidery jobs, including hooping garments and changing thread. Check colors, dimensions, spelling, artwork, and specifications against approved proofs. Inspect every finished product carefully for accuracy and quality. Use hand and power tools to fabricate, finish, and install products. Keep tools, equipment, materials, and production areas clean and organized. Complete assigned projects accurately and within production deadlines. Assist with local installations, deliveries, or material pickups when needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

One to three or more years of hands-on sign manufacturing, graphics production, or similar production experience. Two or more years of automotive vinyl, vehicle-wrap, or paint-protection-film installation experience. Experience operating professional or commercial embroidery machines. Knowledge of vinyl application techniques, digital printing, color management, and common sign substrates. Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently and independently. Ability to read work orders, measurements, specifications, and approved proofs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

EXPERIENCE THAT IS A PLUS

Flexi or ONYX software. RIP software and print-and-cut production workflows. Wide-format printing and laminating. CNC-router or laser-cutter operation. Dimensional-sign fabrication and installation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be able to: Stand for extended periods. Regularly bend, stretch, reach, kneel, and crouch. Comfortably lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Perform repetitive and highly detailed work with their hands. Safely work with production equipment, ladders, power tools, and heat tools.
