The schedule is Monday-Friday 7am to 330pm. Occasionally you will be required to work weekends and overtime, as needed. Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician works as a specialist and a worker in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, electrical, and equipment operation and maintenance.
T Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform skilled maintenance of facilities in areas of light carpentry, plumbing, irrigation, light electrical, and equipment operation and maintenance. Some duties may include repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning. Fix general plumbing issues including toilet and sink clogs, leaks, etc... prepping walls, painting, patching. Repairing stucco, siding, gutters. Help with clean-ups and assist other staff including janitorial and day porter staff. Event set up and take down, including chairs, tables, garbage cans, clean up, and any facilities related duties request by the clients. Conduct all job duties in accordance with company safety protocols. Work collaboratively with building administrators and staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for all students and staff.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities): Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or handyman type of work. 2 years experience in framing, finishing, or exterior house repair Ability to apply skilled techniques and use the tools of the following categories: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, light electrical , small equipment repairs. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Valid Driver License and good driving record. Preferred education and experience High School Diploma or equivalent Experience leading a maintenance team Bi-lingual in English and Spanish Construction Background experience (is a plus)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, push 50 pounds, bending, standing and/or walking for long periods of time. Must pass federal background check and vaccination requirements, including annual TB testing.
