A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
A Handyman performs routine maintenance and repair tasks for RVs, facilities, and common areas to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment. A Handyman uses their attention to detail to keep a pristine environment for our guests. A handyman needs to have a strong background in mechanics, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general construction. Good communication skills and customer service are also important, as they often need to interact with clients to understand their needs and provide explanations about the work being done.
Requirements:
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record to operate company vehicle. 1 year experience
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

General Responsibilities:
Plumbing:
Trouble Shooting problems. Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water heaters, clean out drains and removes obstructions in water systems. Electrical-Repair pedestals, repair light or electrical connections. Address electrical issues and maintain utility connections to guarantee reliable services. Help with Christmas and Halloween decorations set-up and take down. Repair Christmas and Halloween decor.
Doors and Windows:
Replace doors and windows as necessary.
Painting and repairs:
Do painting and repair of any building including but not limited to tile replacement, grout replacement, seals or drywall repair.
Painting:
use brushes, rollers or spray gun in applying paint to various surfaces; scrapes, sands, fills or otherwise prepares surfaces for painting or repainting; applies under and finish coats. Installs, repairs, and replaces hinges, locks and dead bolts; makes keys as necessary Monitor resort for necessary grounds maintenance work to assure safety, resolve problems or notify others as appropriate.
Pool equipment:
Do any simple repairs to pool equipment, do daily testing, cleaning and adding chemicals.
Guest Assistance:
Provide friendly and helpful assistance to guests, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests promptly to enhance their overall experience.
Emergency Response:
Act as a point of contact during emergencies, such as power outages, water leaks, or severe weather events, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and repair Resort equipment, such as chain saw, golf carts, battery charging, trucks, backhoes, trenchers, tractors, and chipper. Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary. Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
Safety Inspections:
Conduct regular safety inspections of RV sites and communal areas, identifying and addressing potential hazards to prevent accidents. Check picnic tables, fire pits, and playground structures, to ensure guest safety and enjoyment.
Waste Management:
Oversee proper waste disposal and recycling procedures, keeping the park clean and environmentally responsible.
Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring quality work and adherence to budget.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inventory, facilitating efficient tracking and planning for future projects.
Communication:
Collaborate with park management, fellow staff members, and RV owners to communicate maintenance schedules, updates, and relevant information.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends, safety protocols, and best practices to continually enhance the RV park's facilities and services. Carpentry and Cabinetry:
Repairing or replacing damaged cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures, as well as addressing any structural issues related to the RV's interior.
Upgrades and Modifications:
Assisting with upgrades, modifications, or customizations to enhance the functionality, aesthetics, or comfort.
