Keep Care Running As a Plant Operations Technician I/II, you help keep our hospital's building and critical support systems safe, reliable, and ready for patient care—every hour of every day.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Complete basic repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems
  • Support plumbing and electrical needs, including replacing switches, receptacles, fuses, small light fixtures, and vacuum outlets
  • Adjust thermostats to maintain comfortable, consistent temperatures
  • Install/hang pictures, bulletin boards, cabinets; perform light painting and other miscellaneous tasks
  • Independently inspect facilities and equipment; maintain routine records of inspections, PMs, and repairs
  • Provide semi-skilled maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and building systems; ensure compliance with building safety codes
  • As skills grow, duties may expand; may supervise 1-2 less-skilled mechanics/helpers Required qualifications/skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Preferred experience: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, security, Hazmat
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbal/written); additional languages preferred
