Job Overview We are seeking a Garage Door Installer/Technician to join our dynamic team. We are willing to train if you are technically minded and have some experience in the trades. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining residential garage doors and openers with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, providing our customers with reliable and functional garage solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical aptitude, craftsmanship, and customer service skills while working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Install new residential garage doors, including door hanging, framing, and securing hardware using hand tools and power tools. Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on existing garage doors and openers to ensure optimal operation. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately assemble and install custom door systems. Conduct electrical work related to garage door openers, including wiring connections and troubleshooting electrical components. Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations throughout all installation and repair processes. Communicate clearly with customers about project timelines, procedures, and maintenance tips to enhance their experience. Skills Extensive experience with door installation, hanging, and mechanical repair of garage doors. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers and electrical troubleshooting skills. Construction site experience including framing, remodeling, carpentry (including trim carpentry) are highly desirable. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working at heights safely; familiarity with building code compliance is essential. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
