Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Laborer and mobile automotive repairs to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help ensure that building interiors, systems, and equipment operate smoothly, providing a safe and comfortable environment for occupants. Responsibilities Perform general repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, carpentry projects, and building interior elements. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs, installations, and upgrades. Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals; conduct repairs on electrical equipment and plumbing systems. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and mechanical components. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems; perform maintenance painting and cosmetic repairs to uphold property appearance. Assist with installation projects such as mounting fixtures or assembling furniture; support maintenance of building interior spaces. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical equipment, welding tools, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other specialized machinery. Communicate clearly with clients or team members about work status; provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or occupant concerns promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), including plumbing system maintenance and repair. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, electrical work, welding, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with HVAC system repair and HVAC systems in general; knowledge of HVAC controls is a plus. Ability to read electrical diagrams and use testing instruments such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting. Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of working independently or leading small teams when necessary. Experience with building interior maintenance tasks like painting (including residential painting) and carpentry projects. Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices for residential or commercial properties. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely. $25.46 - $30.66 per hour
