Maintenance Technician PDS Tech - 3.9 Northford, CT Job Details $18 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary The candidate will work as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal network usage and quality. They will also handle moderate machine operation and perform tasks under general supervision with some creativity required. Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor.
Special Considerations:
Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions. Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated. Operation of a Powered industrial truck is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.
