Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical work, HVAC system malfunction, plumbing leaks, and facilities equipment failures using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks to repair or modify structural elements, furniture, or fixtures within the hotel premises. Maintain building interior surfaces through painting and maintenance painting techniques to uphold aesthetic standards. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee repairs involving electrical equipment repair and plumbing system maintenance. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks when applicable; interpret schematics to diagnose complex system issues. Lead or support team efforts in facilities maintenance operations while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, providing excellent customer service by communicating clearly and efficiently. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed in compliance with operational procedures. Skills Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair. Proficiency with electrical work including troubleshooting electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters; experience with electrical equipment repair essential. Strong understanding of HVAC systems including repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair; familiar with plumbing schematics and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; experience with welding and carpentry projects is highly desirable. Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices such as painting, drywall repairs, and general facilities upkeep. Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) supplies; familiarity with schematics for complex systems is a plus. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred; capable of guiding junior team members when needed. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and guests.
