JOB DESCRIPTION
Pool Attendant / Maintenance Assistant Position Description A luxury high-rise residential condominium located in Aventura, FL is seeking a full-time Pool Attendant / Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the pool area three days per week while providing support to the Maintenance Department two days per week . The Maintenance Assistant will assist the maintenance team with general building maintenance, cleaning, projects, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working in both a resident-facing environment and as part of a maintenance team. Schedule Full-Time Three (3) days per week: Pool Attendant duties Two (2) days per week: Maintenance Assistant duties Schedule may include weekends and holidays as required. Additional shift coverage may be required based on operational needs.
POOL ATTENDANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the pool area, including adult and children's pool areas, and make safety announcements as needed. Set up the pool area prior to opening each day. Set up tables, chairs, umbrellas, and other poolside furniture as required. Provide towels to residents and guests as needed. Assist residents and guests with available seating and poolside services. Ensure poolside equipment is clean, organized, working properly, and available for use. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly pool area throughout the day. Pick up debris and perform basic cleaning duties around the pool area. Report damaged or missing pool and recreational equipment to management. Monitor the pool area and report unsafe conditions, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate manager. Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents and guests. Maintain a professional, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor at all times. Follow all pool safety procedures, building policies, and applicable rules and regulations. Assist with additional pool-related duties and projects as assigned.
MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Maintenance Department with daily maintenance and operational tasks. Assist maintenance personnel with building projects, repairs, installations, and general upkeep. Assist with moving, setting up, organizing, and storing equipment, materials, furniture, and supplies as needed. Perform general cleaning and upkeep of common areas, maintenance areas, storage rooms, and other assigned areas. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and miscellaneous building projects. Help prepare work areas and clean up after maintenance projects are completed. Assist with landscaping, pressure cleaning, painting, touch-ups, and other general property maintenance tasks as assigned. Help receive, organize, and move maintenance supplies and materials. Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor or appropriate manager. Assist with special projects and building events when needed. Work cooperatively with the Maintenance Department and other building staff. Perform other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by management.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be service-oriented and able to interact professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and staff. Must have the ability to work independently as well as as part of a team. Must be accessible, approachable, dependable, and willing to assist with various tasks throughout the property. Must follow all building policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Must promptly report incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, and other concerns to the appropriate manager. Must be willing to perform a variety of duties based on the operational needs of the property. Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
EDUCATION / TRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in hospitality, residential property management, maintenance, pool operations, or a related field is preferred. Pool Operations Certificate is a plus. Basic maintenance or handyman experience is a plus.
