Maintenance Technician / Mechanic Pro Metal Coating II, Inc. - Bartow, Florida Pro Metal Coating II is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician / Mechanic to help maintain our company vehicles, equipment, facility, and property. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and can handle a variety of maintenance and repair responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on company delivery vehicles and trucks Complete oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire checks, and other preventative maintenance Inspect company vehicles regularly and identify mechanical issues before they become larger problems Perform basic vehicle repairs and troubleshooting as needed Coordinate outside repairs or specialized mechanical work when necessary Maintain maintenance records and service schedules for company vehicles Help ensure delivery vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for daily use Perform general maintenance and handyman work throughout the property Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility repairs as needed Repair and maintain doors, gates, fencing, shelving, work areas, and other facility components Assist with upkeep of the shop, warehouse, offices, and exterior property Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and other company-owned equipment Help troubleshoot mechanical or maintenance issues throughout the facility Maintain tools, parts, maintenance supplies, and work areas in an organized manner Assist with special maintenance projects and property improvements as needed Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment Qualifications Previous experience in automotive maintenance, mechanical work, facility maintenance, or a related field preferred Working knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment General handyman and property maintenance experience Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs Dependable, organized, and able to identify problems proactively Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Forklift experience is a plus Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or automotive environment is a plus Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on, mechanically minded problem-solver who takes pride in keeping vehicles, equipment, and the property operating properly.
