23/HR Job Description This entry-level Maintenance Technician role supports the maintenance and repair of production equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will work with mechanical and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and assist in troubleshooting to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone with basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience who is eager to develop a long-term career in maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery to ensure reliable and efficient operation. Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, including identifying mechanical and electrical causes of failures. Assist with gearbox maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed. Diagnose basic electrical issues involving motors, sensors, switches, and control components. Support production operations by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime. Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential mechanical or electrical issues before failures occur. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation of repairs and inspections. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies while performing maintenance tasks. Use appropriate hand and power tools to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance activities. Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to prioritize work and improve equipment reliability. Essential Skills Approximately 1 or more years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, automotive, military, or industrial environments preferred. Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and ability to diagnose simple electrical problems. Ability to troubleshoot conveyors and motors in a production or industrial setting. Comfortable and proficient working with hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures and company policies. Basic familiarity with reading schematics and maintenance documentation is a plus. Willingness to respond to equipment issues in a timely manner and support production needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pneumatic systems and components. Previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience. Technical school education, vocational training, or maintenance-related certification. Experience working with preventative maintenance programs and schedules. Exposure to PLC troubleshooting and basic understanding of control systems. Ability to maintain organized maintenance records and documentation. Interest in continuous learning and professional development in maintenance and reliability. Why Work Here?
