Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and functionality in our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive individual who can perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including custodial duties, floor care, and minor repairs. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment. Execute industrial cleaning tasks, including buffing and floor care to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Conduct custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities. Carry out commercial cleaning tasks in various settings to meet client specifications. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address facility needs efficiently. Serve as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of materials and supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is advantageous. Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and polishing is a plus. Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required. Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
