Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Hollow Metal Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, adjusting, and repairing hollow metal doors and frames in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of door hardware, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and secure hollow metal doors and frames according to project specifications and safety standards. Measure, cut, and adjust doors, frames, and hardware to ensure proper alignment and fit. Install, adjust, and troubleshoot door hardware including hinges, locks, closers, and panic devices. Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical manuals. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing doors and frames as required. Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a door installer, carpenter, or similar trade. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Familiarity with commercial door hardware and its installation. Ability to lift, carry, and install heavy doors and frame components. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on construction sites and in various weather conditions. Lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
