Jacksonville, FL — Primarily 32208, 32209, 32244 & 32254 We are looking for a reliable, experienced Handyman / Property Maintenance Contractor to help maintain a growing portfolio of residential rental properties. This is a mobile position —you'll complete maintenance tasks at different properties rather than report to one location. Our properties are concentrated primarily in 32208, 32209, 32244 and 32254 and are generally within about 5-15 minutes of one another. What You'll Do Typical work includes: General repairs and property maintenance Minor plumbing and electrical repairs Drywall repair and painting Doors, locks, cabinets, and hardware Installing and troubleshooting smart locks and electronic door locks Installing fixtures, blinds, shelving, smoke detectors, etc. Assembling furniture as needed, including IKEA/Amazon-style furniture Minor carpentry Rental turnover and punch-list work Troubleshooting maintenance issues Taking before/after photos and providing updates What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is reliable, honest, resourceful, and takes pride in doing quality work.
You must:
Have prior handyman, maintenance, or residential repair experience Be able to independently handle common household repairs — this is not an entry-level handyman training position Have your own tools Have reliable transportation Be comfortable traveling between our nearby properties Be comfortable following instructions/manuals for smart locks, fixtures, and furniture assembly Communicate professionally with residents and treat their homes with respect Keep work areas clean and complete work with attention to quality We value ethics, honesty, quality workmanship, and great customer service. We don't expect you to know how to fix everything—we do expect you to communicate honestly when something is outside your expertise. Technology & Training You don't need to be a tech expert. Basic training will be provided on the systems and technology we use , including: Trello for receiving and updating work assignments Smart locks, access codes, and property access procedures Sending photos and job updates Our communication and documentation process You should already be comfortable using a smartphone, sending and receiving texts, reading emails, and navigating basic apps or websites. We will train you on our systems and processes; however, we do not provide handyman or repair training. You should come into the position with the practical experience necessary to complete common residential repairs independently. Schedule & Pay $20-$25/hour , based on experience. Approximately 20 hours per week , with the potential for additional hours as our property portfolio grows.
