By applying your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and maintain complex door systems, you will directly impact facility accessibility and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Execute precise installations and repairs of commercial doors, loading dock equipment, and sophisticated hardware. Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, including issues with springs, closers, and access control systems. Configure and calibrate low-voltage components and automated entry systems to meet strict performance standards. Verify that all completed work adheres to current building codes and safety regulations. Deliver professional consultations to clients, providing clear explanations of technical issues and cost-effective repair solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of service activities and site-specific maintenance history. Perform rigorous quality inspections to ensure long-term reliability of all hardware and door assemblies. Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 4+ years of hands-on experience in the commercial door or hardware industry. Demonstrated proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and precision measurement instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and perform tasks in various positions. Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and motor vehicle screenings. Preferred Skills AAADM certification. Prior experience with storefront glazing or hollow metal frame installation. Documented training in welding or industrial dock equipment maintenance. Advanced knowledge of electrical circuitry and low-voltage access control integration.
