In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the hotel's interior and exterior aesthetics. Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and mechanical devices using hand tools and specialized repair techniques. Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with contractors when necessary, and oversee maintenance painting or building interior updates. Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, and mechanical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards by following proper procedures for electrical work, plumbing repairs, welding, and other technical tasks. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and scheduled inspections to support ongoing facilities maintenance operations. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, electrical equipment repair, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting to enhance building aesthetics and structural integrity. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), including managing spare parts inventory and executing routine upkeep tasks efficiently. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for diverse repair activities such as plumbing system maintenance or building interior repairs. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests when addressing maintenance issues or providing updates. Supervising experience with leadership qualities to oversee junior technicians or contractors during large-scale projects or routine maintenance tasks. Fluency in English for clear communication across teams; familiarity with technical schematics is highly desirable.
