Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and hands-on Maintenance Technician / Handyman to maintain and repair our company's buildings, facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for completing routine maintenance, repairs, and general handyman tasks while ensuring the workplace remains safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a reliable problem-solver who can work independently, perform a variety of maintenance tasks, and recognize when a repair requires a qualified outside contractor. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. Repair doors, locks, hinges, cabinets, shelving, furniture, and other fixtures. Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks. Perform basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, outlets, and fixtures when appropriate and legally permitted. Perform minor drywall, painting, caulking, patching, and carpentry work. Assemble, install, move, and repair furniture, equipment, and fixtures. Conduct routine inspections of the building and identify maintenance or safety issues. Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment. Maintain outdoor areas, including basic landscaping, pressure washing, trash removal, and general cleanup as needed. Keep maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas organized. Maintain an inventory of commonly used maintenance supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and maintenance activities. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required. Follow all company safety policies and applicable building, electrical, plumbing, and workplace regulations. Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, handyman work, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair work. Ability to safely use common hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and outside contractors. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required. Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
