Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a growing flower distributor in the Doral area. This is a hands-on position responsible for keeping facilities, production equipment, and daily operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repairs.

Overtime Schedule:
Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on production and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot common mechanical and basic electrical issues.
  • Maintain and repair equipment such as conveyors, air compressors, pallet jacks, box sealing machines, stretch wrap machines, water distribution machines, and other industrial equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installation, setup, adjustment, and testing.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Assist with moving and assembling equipment, furniture, and other workplace items.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and communicate safety concerns, urgent issues, or recurring problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, maintenance work, and parts used.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Support facility improvements, equipment moves, and special maintenance projects.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on facilities, industrial, or equipment maintenance experience.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals and diagrams.
  • Technical certification and OSHA 10 General Industry training preferred.
  • Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
This position may involve working indoors and outdoors, around operating machinery and equipment, and occasionally inside coolers with temperatures as low as 34°F.
