Job Description

Landscape Maintenance Mechanic Job Type:
Full-Time Location:
On-site (Shop/Yard)
Estimated Pay Range:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience) Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Landscape Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain our fleet of commercial landscaping equipment and vehicles. You will ensure that our field crews have safe, reliable, and fully operational tools every single day to maximize productivity and job-site safety. Key Responsibilities Equipment Repair & Maintenance Perform routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, blade sharpening, filter replacements, and belt adjustments) on all small engines and commercial gear. Troubleshoot and repair two-stroke and four-stroke engines, including string trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws. Repair and service commercial zero-turn and walk-behind mowers (decks, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engines). Maintain larger fleet assets, such as utility trailers, skid steers, and company transport trucks, as needed. Inventory & Shop Management Track and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, common replacement components, fluids, and specialized tools. Order replacement parts and supplies within an approved maintenance budget. Keep the repair shop clean, safe, and organized in compliance with safety standards. Maintain clear logs and records of all maintenance work performed on each piece of company equipment. Quality Control & Safety Inspect returned equipment daily for damage, excessive wear, or safety hazards reported by the crew. Train field crew members on proper daily equipment care, basic pre-start checks, and safe operating habits.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on mechanical experience repairing small engines, mowers, and light commercial vehicles.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of small gas engines, hydraulic systems, 12V electrical systems, and welding/fabrication basics.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, bend, push, and work in a typical outdoor/shop environment.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; own basic set of mechanic hand tools. Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay with proper tenured time.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
