Job Description

Floor Technician Ponte Vedra Beach, FL | Onsite About This Role As a Floor Technician, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members throughout our community. This role is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all flooring surfaces through specialized floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and facility support services. Your work directly impacts resident satisfaction, safety, and the overall presentation of our campus What You'll Do Maintain hard floor surfaces through buffing, burnishing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care procedures. Clean and maintain carpets using extraction and carpet cleaning equipment. Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, extraction machines, and related tools. Follow established safety procedures and infection control practices when performing assigned duties. Support cleanliness standards in common areas, dining rooms, therapy spaces, offices, and public restrooms. Assist with room and event setups by arranging tables and chairs according to designated layouts. Remove and transport trash and waste materials from designated collection areas. Partner with the Housekeeping leadership team to complete special projects and facility support needs Skills You Need Must Have Skills High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience operating commercial floor care and cleaning equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a highly active environment Nice to Have Skills Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or commercial housekeeping environments. Experience with carpet extraction and floor refinishing programs. Knowledge of OSHA and infection prevention practices. Experience supporting event setups and facility operations.
Education:
Degree not required. Relevant experience and demonstrated skills are valued.
