Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and facilities equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan. Repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, electrical work techniques, and Ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs involving mechanical knowledge to address equipment malfunctions efficiently. Maintain building interiors through carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general facilities maintenance to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal. Troubleshoot plumbing systems for leaks or blockages; perform repairs or replacements as needed to ensure proper function. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems management and troubleshooting. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects while ensuring compliance with safety protocols; support team leadership in daily operations. Use schematics and technical manuals to interpret wiring diagrams or mechanical layouts for complex repairs. Support customer service initiatives by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance assistance; communicate effectively with team members. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory in accordance with company procedures. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or similar roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting. Familiarity with electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems including system repair and troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience working with hand tools, electrical testing devices such as Ohmmeters, schematics interpretation, and maintenance of building interior systems. Knowledge of maintenance repair operations (MRO), including inventory management of parts and tools. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred but not required; ability to lead small teams or projects is a plus.
