  • Career Growth Opportunities Position Summary A leading aerospace manufacturing and repair facility in Sarasota is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, facility systems, and related infrastructure.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and plant infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Inspect machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
  • Perform repairs and fabrication tasks using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Identify and source replacement parts, supplies, and repair materials as needed.
  • Assist with predictive and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience working with motors, drives, pumps, compressors, conveyors, control systems, electrical distribution, and facility support equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems preferred.
  • Welding, fabrication, machining, or machine repair experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
