We're Hiring:
Maintenance Technician II Location:
Venice /
Sarasota & Charlotte County, FL Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)

Week Contract-to-Hire Perks:
Company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone provided for daily travel between facilities once you arrive at the Venice hub. About the Role Join the Empath Health team to help keep healthcare and administrative facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. You will handle daily work orders, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs across Sarasota and Charlotte County locations. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and equipment installation. Execute routine preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and company vehicles. Review, prioritize, and close out maintenance requests using an internal work order ticketing system. Coordinate and monitor on-site vendors and contractors for specialized services (HVAC, inspections, etc.). Support facility safety audits, emergency preparedness, and general grounds upkeep. What We're Looking For Solid working knowledge of general trades (HVAC basics, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall). Ability to read construction documents, write basic maintenance logs, and comfortably use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Reliable personal transportation to commute daily to the main Venice warehouse hub. Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and the ability to work independently. 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
