•We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Facilities Technician
• to oversee the day-to-day physical operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver who can handle minor repairs independently while coordinating with specialized contractors for larger capital projects. You will be the "eyes and ears" on the ground, ensuring our buildings remain safe, clean, and fully functional for our residents.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
3-5 years in residential or commercial maintenance.
Trades Knowledge:
Basic proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and a professional, "service-first" attitude.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces (basements/mechanical rooms).
Primary Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct weekly inspections of common areas, lobbies, and mechanical rooms. Identify and resolve issues before they become emergencies.
Work Orders:
Promptly respond to resident requests for plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs (e.g., leaky faucets, light fixture replacements, laundry machine troubleshooting).
Contractor Oversight:
Meet with and supervise outside vendors (painters, carpet cleaners, fire safety inspectors) to ensure work is completed to building standards.
Unit Turns:
Execute "make-ready" tasks for vacant apartments, including minor drywall repair, painting, and fixture updates.
Grounds Upkeep:
Maintain the "curb appeal" by ensuring trash areas are managed, hallways are clear of resident items, and basic seasonal maintenance is performed.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
