Overview We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man/Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that commercial properties are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. Execute repairs on various systems and equipment using tools such as ohm-meters and programmable logic controllers. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Oversee residential painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to timelines. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client requests and inquiries. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Electrical experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical systems. Ability to read and understand schematics for effective problem resolution. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
