Job Description

Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is Moving Forward as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Technician II position will support the Maintenance Team by conducting skilled repairs on production machinery and auxiliary equipment during the assigned shift at an acceptable quality level to meet or exceed expectations. This position is responsible for communicating machinery and equipment status to determine resource and part needs. The Maintenance Technician is expected to maintain a high standard of housekeeping to sustain 6S principles. We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Night shift Maintenance Team .
Essential Job Functions:
2-3 years of Industrial maintenance experience Should have/had Arc flash training, Storm water training, and LOTO training (Lock out tag out). Able to repair mechanical on Presses, Heat transfers, Baggers, Ovens, Pneumatics/Hydraulic how to track belts. Basic welding skills Basic knowledge of how to use shop tools and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when using shop tools. Report/Communicate when they see/have an unsafe act. Electrical knowledge would be a plus. (Not required) Follow all safety procedures for safe operation of machinery and equipment. Read and follow LOTO procedures to maintain safety while working closely to machinery and equipment. Perform basic job tasks requiring the use of power and hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, screwdriver, hammer, saws-all, utility knife, push knife, scraper, air hose, broom, shovel, squeegee, and vacuums. Ensure good housekeeping in designated areas including keeping tool boards and finding supplies and materials in the correct assigned locations. Promote a safe and healthy work environment on all company properties to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures. As an employee, show respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with vendors, visitors and other employees. Read, understand, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), work orders, and safety procedures including L.O.T.O Review preventive and corrective maintenance schedule to determine priorities for the assigned shift. Perform operations, maintenances, and repairs at a skilled level in one (1) or more trades (Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Welding, etc.) Troubleshoot and diagnose the more complex equipment problems; repair or replace broken or worn machinery parts. Utilize multiple skilled trades to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs. Maintain operating logs on all equipment; record, correct, and report all faults, deficiencies and other unusual occurrences. Aid higher level Maintenance Technicians with repairs and installation of machinery and equipment. Prepare documentation for repairs and maintenance. Work within a team setting in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and be cross trained to perform all essential job duties within the team. Meet or exceed all performance and productivity standards including working safely, maintaining acceptable quality levels and achieving desired standard output levels. High school diploma or equivalent required Specialized training in a maintenance discipline such as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require. Pass drug screen and meet acceptable criminal background requirements. Demonstrated attitude of safety and quality as top priorities. Work overtime as needed to include weekends.
