Maintenance Technician ll Pedalpoint Evterra Recycling, LLC Forest Park, GA Job Details From $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing facility equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position supports daily production by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and helping reduce downtime throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues. Inspect equipment to identify worn, damaged, or unsafe components. Repair or replace motors, belts, bearings, pumps, sensors, switches, and other equipment components. Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of machinery and equipment. Maintain conveyors, shredders, sorting equipment, balers, compactors, and other recycling or material-handling equipment, as applicable. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements. Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs and preventive maintenance activities. Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance work areas in an organized condition. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements. Identify potential safety hazards and report equipment or facility concerns to management. Coordinate with operations and production teams to minimize equipment downtime. Assist outside vendors or contractors with facility repairs and equipment servicing when necessary. Perform general building maintenance, including minor plumbing, lighting, doors, and facility repairs. Participate in safety meetings, training, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical or trade school training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field preferred. Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify the cause of mechanical or operational problems. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull as required. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work around industrial machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to use ladders and work at elevated heights when necessary. Work Environment This position works primarily in an industrial recycling or manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to moving machinery, loud noise, dust, temperature changes, and other conditions common to an operational facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required. Perform preventive maintenance inspection, diagnose, and rebuild major equipment. Have a strong knowledge single and three phase electrical systems.
