E & E Capital Management is hiring an experienced On-Call Maintenance Technician to service our established portfolio of single-family rental homes throughout Clayton, Rockdale, DeKalb, and Henry Counties . For HVAC-certified technicians , we guarantee a minimum of 5 paid hours per week at $30/hour—even if no service calls come in. In addition to on-call maintenance, technicians may take on additional paid work, including turnovers, make-readies, painting, and specialty projects , providing opportunities to earn more during slower service weeks. Unlike scattered one-off handyman jobs, you'll be working with an established rental portfolio, a consistent workflow, and a defined service area. What You'll Do As an On-Call Maintenance Technician, you'll work independently in the field while coordinating with our property management team to keep our rental homes well maintained and residents taken care of.

Responsibilities include:

Respond to routine and emergency maintenance requests at single-family rental homes Diagnose and complete general plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, appliance, and painting repairs Perform HVAC diagnostics, service, and repairs when appropriately certified Complete rental property turnovers and make-readies Perform interior and exterior painting projects as assigned Communicate professionally with residents regarding appointments, repairs, and work status Document completed work, materials used, photos, and follow-up recommendations through our work-order system Manage and prioritize multiple open work orders independently Escalate major repairs or issues requiring additional authorization Identify and report property conditions that could lead to future maintenance problems

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:

3+ years of residential maintenance, handyman, rental property maintenance, or similar experience Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting Ability to troubleshoot and complete common residential repairs independently Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to organize and prioritize multiple service requests Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel throughout Clayton, Rockdale, DeKalb, and Henry Counties Own basic hand and power tools Smartphone capable of receiving work orders and uploading job photos Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check Preferred Qualifications HVAC certification or license EPA 608 certification Residential HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience Interior and exterior painting experience Previous experience maintaining single-family rental homes Property management or rental turnover experience Familiarity with AppFolio, Propertyware, Buildium, or similar work-order/property management software Schedule & On-Call Expectations This position includes rotating on-call coverage , which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Emergency maintenance calls require prompt response and arrival within established service expectations. Additional daytime projects—including turnovers, make-readies, painting, and specialty maintenance work—are scheduled in advance and offered based on technician availability and business needs.
