Job Description

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
Skilled technician to perform installation, repair and maintenance on production machines and equipment such as press brakes, welders, lasers, resonators, hoists, trolley systems, and other equipment related to production and facility use. Reports to Facilites Leader.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned) : Responsible for basic breakdowns and repair of general service production and facilities equipment. Identify problem areas and address with permanent solutions. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) to maintain a safe and effective work environment. As well as Workorder review, submittance and completions. Follow safety policies and practices, including enforcing safe work practices. Maintain accurate records of preventative mainentance (PM) and repairs. Initiates request to order parts. Work independently with little supervision as per industry standard. Provide effective and professional communication with internal customers and co-workers. Complete additional tasks as necessary.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains daily cleanliness of work area. May be required to maintain in-house forklift operator certification. Basic mechanical and electrical skills and a knowledge of hand tools. Good communications skills. High level of initiative and drive to see projects to completion. Ability to problem solve. Have knowledge of and be capable of demonstrating maintenance practices and methods when executing mechanical and electrical repairs of equipment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
