CARDIOLOGYSERVICES SCHEDULE
Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8 POSITION SUMMARY The Staffing Pool Echocardiographer is a flexible, highly skilled cardiac sonographer who provides cross-functional support across inpatient hospital units, outpatient departments, and local outpatient clinics. This role requires performing high-quality diagnostic heart ultrasounds on adult and pediatric patients while adapting quickly to varying facility protocols and patient volumes.EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Active credential in Echocardiography (e.g., RDCS through ARDMS, or RCS through CCI). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical echocardiography experience required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong adaptability to shift between different hospital protocols seamlessly. Excellent clinical judgment to handle fluctuating patient volumes and high-acuity cases. Proficiency with EPIC EMR and digital imaging archiving systems (PACS). Training and evaluating junior sonographers, residents, and students in the echo lab.WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Comfortable working conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends and on-call; subjected to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable disease. Duties require considerable eye strain and arm motion. Considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of fifty (50) pounds), pushing (wheelchairs, stretchers, ultrasound machines). Prolonged standing, bending, and patient scanning.
