Facilities Maintenance/Cleaner

Job Description

White Sands Village is seeking a full time evening closing and cleaning person Full Time 2:00pm-10:30pm Reports to the Resident Manager. Pay rate begins at $20 per hour. Review after 90 day probation period, possible raise to $22 per hour. White Sands Village is a Smoke-Free Complex.
Duties/responsibilities:
  • Perform basic cleaning duties which may include wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, or tidying up areas that need attention.
  • Other basic maintenance duties like painting, replacing light bulbs and power washing.
  • Assure compliance by owners and guests of all house rules; tactfully resolve any situation or complaint that may occur on the property to ensure compliance with association policy.
  • Serve as a direct contact for owners/guests on security or facilities issues. Be a visible WSV presence to answer questions and reduce the likelihood of house rule violations.
  • Close and secure the pool/bbq area for the evening including ensuring that all guests have left the common areas, lowering umbrellas, closing the hot tub, straightening tables and chairs, closing Pool table and sauna area, and assuring that all gates are closed and locked at the end of the evening.
  • Leave a report log for the Resident Manager of any evening issues that may require follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old, HS diploma/GED required; customer service, problem solving experience, janitorial experience preferred. Ability to problem-solve and work with minimal supervision. The position requires walking, stair-climbing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs, using cleaning tools such as broom, vacuum, mop, etc. BACKGROUND and
