$25.00 per hour (DOE) + Overtime possible About PFA Repair PFA Repair is a locally owned Hawaii company specializing in the maintenance, repair, installation, and emergency service of petroleum fueling systems throughout the state. Position Summary The Petroleum Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing petroleum fueling equipment at commercial and retail fueling facilities throughout Hawaii.This position includes work on:
Fuel dispensers Underground Storage Tank (UST) equipment Tank-top sumps Submersible turbine pumps Leak detection systems Fuel piping systems Spill buckets and overfill prevention equipment Emergency fuel system repairs General site maintenance related to petroleum fueling facilities Essential ResponsibilitiesFuel System Maintenance & Repairs Diagnose and repair fuel dispensers and fueling equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on petroleum fueling systems. Install and replace petroleum equipment and components. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system failures. Perform dispenser calibration and testing. Service STPs, dispensers, piping, valves, nozzles, hoses, breakaways, filters, and related equipment. Maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, and Hawaii Department of Health regulations. Installation & Construction Install fuel dispensers and petroleum equipment. Assist with underground and aboveground fuel system repairs. Perform concrete work associated with dispenser replacements and equipment installation. Assist with piping modifications and equipment upgrades. Inspections & Preventive Maintenance Conduct routine inspections of fueling facilities. Identify equipment deficiencies before failures occur. Document maintenance findings and recommended repairs. Complete detailed service reports and work orders. Emergency Service Respond to emergency service calls when assigned. Troubleshoot equipment failures quickly to minimize customer downtime. Safety Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies. Properly utilize PPE and safety equipment. Report hazards immediately. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Valid Hawaii Driver License Ability to work independently Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics Ability to lift 75-80 lbs.
