Job Description

Description Nest Property Management is looking for the right candidate to join its growing team of Maintenance Technicians. This is a great growth opportunity in a rapidly expanding company with a great culture and future opportunities. Our Maintenance Technicians ensure all commercial and residential properties comply with government building standards and rental codes. They complete all preventative maintenance items and correct all miscellaneous maintenance deficiencies. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Routine Service Requests:
Fulfills all service requests for routine maintenance and or repair as directed by Maintenance Manager and Property Manager. Diagnose and troubleshoot unit maintenance issue which includes: replacement and installation of lighting, ceiling fans, blinds, mirrors, broken windows, sheetrock repair, key/lock changes, closet doors, smoke detectors, caulking tubs or sinks, and other similar repairs. Minor gas and electric appliance repair as well as replacement of existing low risk electrical. Hands-on work of all building repairs, preventive maintenance and general upkeep of the property Regularly address plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, toilets and other fixtures Maintain and repair plumbing throughout
Unit Turnover:
Performs all necessary maintenance and repairs for apartment turnovers to ensure units are ready for occupancy within the required time frame.
Typically includes:
Electrical
  • replacement of fixtures, install smoke detectors Sheetrock
  • repair small holes in walls Plumbing
  • replace fill valves, shut off valves, fixtures Other
  • install/repair window coverings, doors, doorknobs, cabinets, towel bars, screens
General:
Communicate with residents regarding repairs using excellent customer service Promote safety and be efficient in work practices Snow removal, salting and seasonal groundskeeping as needed Requirements Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, carry, and manipulate various items. Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. Using proper body mechanics or available equipment to help. Physical activity required throughout the shift. Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Have the ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot, cold and wet environments Multi-housing experience a plus
