Job Summary:
This role is ideal for individuals with little to no experience in the maintenance field who are eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment. The Maintenance Technician will assist in the routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities. Perform minor repairs on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units under supervision. Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and report more complex problems to senior technicians. Assist with cleaning and organizing maintenance tools and equipment. Help maintain accurate maintenance logs and records. Respond to maintenance requests from staff and ensure timely completion of tasks. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Participate in training programs and gain knowledge in various maintenance systems and practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. Strong interest in learning maintenance procedures and systems. Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed. Preferred Skills (but not required): Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems. Previous experience in a maintenance or similar hands-on role (internships, part-time jobs, etc.).
