Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Internal applications will be accepted through the end of the day on Friday, July 31st.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:45pm and Fridays 6:00am-12:00pm
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical machinery and equipment as needed Ability to safely service and troubleshoot electrical components (110v-480v) Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, grounds, and facilities Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities are performed in a neat, orderly, and timely manner Ensure equipment and company assets are operating in a safe manner, per manufacturer and other governing body guidelines Comply with all standard safety practices, safety guidelines, and all Company guidelines and policies Identify and communicate all issues and/or problems in a proactive manner Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities, including seasonal grounds maintenance, painting, cleaning, and carpentry work Performs routine maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Associates degree (AA) from two-year program or at least 5 years of relevant experience Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair Any relevant technical certifications are a plus Ability to use and safely operate hand tools, power tools, fork lifts, scissor lifts, etc. Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings) Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays, installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting) Ability to utilize schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starts, maps, relays) Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a small team Punctuality and a positive attitude are mandatory
