Maintenance Technician Parker Hannifin Corporation $26.00 - $30.27 / hr United States, Iowa, Red Oak 1867 State Highway 48 (Show on map) Jul 28, 2026 Position Summary To troubleshoot, repair, overhaul equipment in several maintenance systems including machining, electrical, plumbing, or welding. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Maintenance of machine equipment and hand tools. 2. Troubleshoot a problem beyond basic component replacement with two or more specific trades. 3. Installation, alteration, preventative maintenance, and repair of various types of production equipment including but not limited to cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery or plant equipment. 4. Ability to work on hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electron components. 5. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. 6. Responsible for proper administration of LOTO, confined space and other OSHA guidelines. 7. Ability to work overtime, including short-notice overtime and weekend coverage to meet business needs.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. Maintain production schedules. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. Other duties may be assigned later. Qualifications High School diploma or GED with a minimum of two years trade school or equivalent experience. Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in basic mechanical or electrical skills Excellent precision measuring ability Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems Understand practical aspects of preventative, predictive maintenance systems & proper lubrication selection & application Able to read blueprints and plans for construction at plant level. Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office package Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to use all general mechanical hand tools and light power tools Knowledge of light machine shop tools Understanding of low pressure hydraulic, pneumatic, with the ability to troubleshoot these systems.
