We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that workers are safe in their working environment and that machines are running safely and working efficiently. D uties/Responsibilities:
Performance of duties assigned with focus on safety, quality (of product and task) and Good Manufacturing Practices. Repair and maintain high speed production equipment such as fillers, case packers, conveyor systems, palletizers, water purification/filtration systems and other production equipment. Practice safe work habits. Follow proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Complete all OSHA required training as required and correct any unsafe conditions as necessary. Respond to calls from line supervisors or operators to repair equipment as needed. Perform package change-overs on equipment as required. Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices, hydraulic systems, mechanical and electrical problems in a timely manner. Execute work orders on time as assigned and in priority order. Continuous improvement in speed and accuracy of product changeovers and preventative maintenance plans Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedEducation/Experience:
High-School Diploma/GED Must be 18 years of age Minimum of 1 - 3 years' experience in related field with proven industry experience, beverage experience a plusRequired Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to read and utilize prints and drawings of components and mechanical systems. Strong mechanical skills and technical aptitude. Demonstrated an organized, logical, and detailed method of troubleshooting. Flexibility and ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays to support production needs. The drive to learn new skills and to investigate when you do not know something yourself. Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company's Good Manufacturing Practices. Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisor.Work Environment:
Works in various environments depending upon the task. Ear protection is required in production areas. Must wear hair/beard net in designated areas.Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, see, and hear Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel and squat; Occasionally required to sit and climb Occasionally lift/carry objects < 50 lbs. Occasionally push/pull < 50 lbs.Reports to:
