Day Position Job Summary:
The General Maintenance - 2nd Shift position provides District-wide maintenance, grounds, athletic facility, and evening operational support. This position assists with general district building maintenance, Memorial Stadium and athletic events, mowing and grounds maintenance, snow and ice removal, and other facility needs throughout the District.
Hiring Specifications:
Education High school diploma or equivalent Certification Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. State of Iowa Pesticide Applicators License (A 90-day grace period may be given in good faith to successful applicant to acquire the State of Iowa Pesticide Applicator's license) Experience General maintenance, grounds, construction, or related experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to facility needs. Ability to communicate effectively with District staff, coaches, administrators, and the public. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on District needs.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs at District buildings and facilities. Respond to work orders, facility concerns, and evening maintenance needs throughout the District. Provide facility and operational support at Memorial Stadium and other District athletic facilities, including event setup, facility operation, troubleshooting, and securing facilities following events. Assist with mowing, trimming, grounds maintenance, athletic field maintenance, and seasonal cleanup. Participate in District-wide snow and ice removal, including operating snow-removal equipment as assigned. Assist with setup and teardown for athletic events, District activities, meetings, and special events including auditorium lights and sound. Operate District vehicles, mowing equipment, snow-removal equipment, power tools, and other maintenance equipment as assigned. Identify and report safety, maintenance, and facility concerns requiring additional attention. Assist district maintenance and grounds as needed. Perform other duties as assigned based on District operational needs.

Additional requirements:
Successful completion of post-offer drug screening and physical as well as background check.
Terms of Employment:
Twelve-month letter of assignment per Board policy and administrative guidelines.
