Residential Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Apartment Maintenance Technician Knapp Properties is looking for a dependable, hardworking Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in apartment or residential maintenance, take pride in their work, and provide excellent service to our residents. Salary $55,000-$58,000 per year , based on experience and qualifications. Job Responsibilities Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the property. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and other apartment-related issues. Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, cleaning, and general turnover work. Perform interior and exterior painting as needed. Complete inspections of apartments, buildings, grounds, and common areas. Pick up trash and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property. Pick up pet waste/dog poop throughout the property and maintain clean, sanitary grounds. Maintain property grounds and assist with other seasonal maintenance needs. Respond to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls as part of an on-call rotation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas. Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and property management. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous apartment, residential, commercial, or general maintenance experience required. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Comfortable performing general property upkeep, including trash and pet waste removal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties. Must be available for occasional after-hours emergency calls.
